ART
We are excited to invite local artists to submit their designs for the Mad LOVE works art installation, a LOVE sign that will capture the history, community, and spirit of Madison Heights and Amherst County. The design should reflect our rich heritage, natural beauty, and the growth that is shaping our future. This project will honor small businesses of the past and present and the strong sense of family and community that defines us.
The selected artist will work closely with our construction team to bring their vision to life and must be present during the build. Please note that this is a volunteer opportunity, and while no monetary compensation is available, the artist will receive recognition throughout our promotional efforts and at the unveiling event.
Artists are encouraged to visit the site, located behind Anderson’s Market near the church parking lot, to gather inspiration for their design. The final installation will also feature a gazebo and engraved bricks honoring sponsors and community members, creating a beautiful, welcoming picnic space for all.
Submissions will be accepted through December 15th, and the winner will be announced on January 1, 2025!
JUDGE
Help us select a community member who embodies the spirit and pride of Madison Heights to serve as a judge for the Mad LOVE works art competition!
We’re looking for someone who not only loves Madison Heights, but also actively contributes to making our town a wonderful place to live, work, and grow. The chosen individual will join our panel of judges to review artist submissions and help select the final design for the LOVE works installation.

Nominations will be accepted until 11 pm on December 8th, 2024, and the final selection will be notified on December 15th, 2024.
